Why is MultiTracks.com the only place that can fully report on what music is streamed when using their platform?

The only way for MultiTracks.com to guarantee that we report 100% of the master and song activity to labels and publishers, artist and song writers is by being the source of the activity data. Relying on our customers to provide this information is not only a burden on our customers but would only give a small portion of the actual activity occurring. Even relying on data from third parties, such as other worship resource sites has its own challenges as there’s often not a way to link the usages to a specific customer, a time period and the data can be inaccurate for a myriad of reasons.

MultiTracks.com does this for all of our products via Setlists, including Playback Rentals, Downloads, ChartBuilder and RehearsalMix. Every time a multitrack, a song or a chart is added to a setlist, we capture this data and pay royalties accordingly.

MultiTracks.com have been put in a position where we are unable to share our usage information with any third party and while other streaming licenses may cover recordings from the same companies and owners as those who have partnered with MultiTracks.com, they don’t know the activity coming from customers who use the MultiTracks.com suite of products and so this activity is excluded from any royalties being paid by these third parties. The only way for artists and song writers to appropriately compensated is for MultiTracks.com to have its own license covering streaming and lyric reproduction and for the data gathered directly from our customers and used to pay the creators of the music.

The leadership of MultiTracks.com have been aware that for many years the reporting of church song activity has been inaccurate and insufficient and it is our desire to not only provide our customers with powerful resources and solutions, but to also ensure that the creators are fully compensated. Consider if you will, your Spotify or Apple Music account. Do they require you to report the music you listen to? Of course not. Do they request this information from other parties on your behalf? No, they already know what songs you’re streaming and account royalties accordingly. This is what MultiTracks.com has built and continues to build for churches as well as for song writers and artists.

Does MultiTracks.com add anything to the tracks on their platform?

Yes, MultiTracks.com invests resources into each multitrack on our platforms. Our engineers add technology to each track, this is for two reasons only;

  1. To save our customers time. We add things such as a key-changing facilities, click tracks, production cues, section identifiers, standardization of audio levels, searchable meta data and much more so that our customers don’t need to. When you buy or rent a track from MultiTracks.com, we’ve done a lot of hard work for you.

  2. To protect the rights of the creators. MultiTracks.com adds a unique watermark on each stem from each track to ensure it can be tracked and the rights of the owners and creators can be always maintained.
