How does MultiTracks.com handle subscription payments and billing processes?

MultiTracks.com utilizes a structured subscription payment system to ensure seamless user access and clear communication regarding payments. Below is a comprehensive explanation of how payment and billing processes work, along with answers to common customer questions.

Understanding Payment Due Dates and Pre-Billing

MultiTracks.com subscriptions renew on the 25th of each month. To ensure uninterrupted access, MultiTracks.com introduced a pre-billing system in 2021. Here's how it works:

  • Subscription Date: The date the subscription and its' features are active until.
Example: The subscription officially renews or is active until the 25th of each month.

  • Pre-Billing Process (billing date): Payments begin processing three days before the subscription date (in this example, on the 22nd of each month). This pre-billing system allows the customer to address any billing errors in advance, ensuring there are no disruptions in service. Importantly, while the payment is processed earlier, the official subscription date remains unchanged on the 25th.

The automatic renewal process is as follows:

  • First Pre-billing date:
Three (3) days prior to your subscription date

  • 2nd Pre-billing date:
One (1) day prior to your subscription date

  • On your subscription date

  • Subsequent auto-renewal attempts:

    • Three (3) days after your subscription date

    • Seven (7) days after your subscription date

    • Thirteen (13) days after your subscription date

This first pre-billing date is the date that's communicated as the "Next Payment Date" on the "Billing & Payments" tab of your MultiTracks.com account:

Resolving Failed Payment Issues

After a failed payment, users will be notified via email that their card on file has been declined. Due to the pre-billing structure, typically the only action required is:

  • Ensure your billing details are up to date and accurate.

  • Wait two more days for the next attempted renewal*

  • If you've responded quickly to the billing email alert, your subscriptions are likely still active, and in this pre-billing period. And we'll attempt to bill you again before your subscription date.

*Unless you're seeing a yellow banner on your account, or have lost access to subscriptions. This means you will need to take action by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to your "Payment Method" account page.
    https://www.multitracks.com/premium/account/billing/

  2. Click on the yellow banner test in the top that says "Resubmit Payment."
Note: Clicking the blue "Submit" button under your billing details will not take nay action. To restore subscriptions, the text in the yellow banner must be selected. If there is no yellow banner on this billing page, your subscriptions are likely still active, and we'll run another auto-attempt based on where you are in the pre-billing process.
