Understanding Sync License Projects
A Sync License Project is how MultiTracks.com organizes your sync licensing purchases. Each project represents one video production and your usage settings, date, and attendance are all tied to that specific project.
Is a sync license reusable across multiple projects?
No. Each sync license is tied to a single project. You cannot apply one purchased sync license to multiple video projects. If you need to license music for a different video, you'll need to create a new project and purchase the appropriate license(s) for it.
This is because each sync license is legally specific to the project details you provide at checkout—including the type of use, expected audience size, and project date. Using that licensed audio in a different project would not be covered by the original license.
Can I add multiple songs to a single project?
Yes! A single project can include multiple songs. Each song will have its own individual sync license within that project, all sharing the same usage settings (usage type, attendance, date). This is the most efficient way to license multiple tracks for the same video production.
Tip: If you're producing a single video that uses more than one song, create one project and add all the songs to it. Each song will get its own sync license, and the project settings apply to all of them.
Checking out behavior: one project at a time
Only one sync license project can be in your cart at a time. If you attempt to add a song from a different project while another is already in your cart, you'll be prompted to resolve this before continuing.
After purchase: accessing downloads and your license certificate
After completing your purchase, you can access both your downloadable audio files and your license certificate from your Sync License account page. The license certificate is your legal documentation confirming the rights granted for that specific project—keep it on hand for your records.
