Introduction

The MIDI Out Tutorial series walks through every step required to send MIDI Cues out of Playback to control lyrics in ProPresenter or other presentation software.

In the previous step, we established the network connection between Playback and your computer running ProPresenter, by creating a MIDI Network on the computer and adding Playback to it.

In this video, we will show you how to set up ProPresenter to receive MIDI Cues from Playback via the network connection.

After watching this video, you will know how to:

  1. Connect Playback to a computer via WiFi or ethernet cable

  2. Create a MIDI Network session on a Mac computer

  3. Add Playback to a network session

NOTE: This video was created using ProPresenter 6. While the steps to set up MIDI in ProPresenter 7 are the same, here are important differences:

  • The MIDI Module is included with ProPresenter 7

  • MIDI Routing is now found in the Devices Tab of Preferences. Tap the + icon in the bottom left, and add a MIDI Device:
