Connecting ChatGPT to Your MultiTracks.com Account

Steps on how to setup the MultiTracks MCP connector in ChatGPT

Written by Vinicius Nascimento Costa

What You'll Need

To use MultiTracks MCP with ChatGPT, you'll need:

  • A MultiTracks.com account

  • An active MultiTracks One or Live Bundle subscription (required for the tools to work)

  • A ChatGPT Plus, Team, or Pro account (custom connectors require a paid ChatGPT plan)

Step 1: Enable Developer Mode in ChatGPT

Before you can add a custom MCP connector, you'll need to turn on Developer Mode in ChatGPT. This unlocks the settings where custom connectors are managed.

  1. Open ChatGPT and go to Settings

  2. Locate the Developer Mode toggle and turn it on

Note: This step only needs to be done once.

Step 2: Add a Custom MCP Connector

Once Developer Mode is enabled, you're ready to add the MultiTracks MCP connector.

  1. In ChatGPT, navigate to Settings → Connectors (or the equivalent section in your account)

  2. Click Create or Add a new connector

  3. Fill in the following details:

    • Remote Server URL: https://mcp.multitracks.com/mcp

    • OAuth Client ID: mcp-chatgpt

    • ClientSecret: multitracksMCPChatGPT

  4. Click Create to proceed

Step 3: Sign In to Your MultiTracks.com Account

After clicking Create, ChatGPT will prompt you to sign in and authorize the connection.

  1. A MultiTracks.com sign-in screen will appear

  2. Enter your MultiTracks.com email and password and sign in

  3. Once signed in, you'll see a loading screen while the connection is established

Step 4: Confirm Your Connection

When the connection is successful, you'll see a green success banner in ChatGPT.

You're connected! ✅ You can now start a conversation in ChatGPT and use MultiTracks tools directly in chat.

Start Using MultiTracks in ChatGPT

Once connected, ChatGPT has access to your MultiTracks.com account. Try asking things like:

  • "Show me the songs in my setlist for this Sunday"

  • "Search for a MultiTrack of [song name]"

  • "What's in my library?"

Heads up: If the tools don't appear to be working, make sure your account has an active MultiTracks One or Live Bundle subscription. You can connect with any account, but the tools require one of these plans.

Video Walkthrough

Because the ChatGPT setup involves a few more steps than Claude, we've put together a full video walkthrough:

ChatGPT can connect directly to your MultiTracks.com account through MCP (Model Context Protocol), letting you ask ChatGPT about your setlists, library, and catalog from inside a chat. This article walks through the one-time setup.
