Below are the minimum system requirements to run the Playback app. Playback is available for Mac and for iOS/iPadOS, with different requirements for each platform.
Playback for Mac: Minimum System Requirements
Operating System: MacOS
MacOS Monterey 12.4 or later, supported on the following devices:
Macbook: Early 2016 and newer
Macbook Air: Early 2015 and newer
Macbook Pro: Early 2015 and newer
iMac Pro (2017)
iMac: Late 2015 and newer
Mac Mini: late 2014 and newer
Mac Pro: late 2013 and newer
Mac Studio: all models
RAM: 4GB (8GB or higher recommended)
Resolution: 1280x800 (Macbook 13” screen size)
Headphone audio output (Core Audio-compatible audio interface recommended for expanded output support)
Note: While these are the absolute minimum requirements required to operate Playback Mac, Playback can be expected to run more efficiently on newer hardware and computers.
Note: Playback has been tested and is 100% compatible with Macs running Apple's M1 Chip and newer.
Playback for iOS & iPadOS: Minimum System Requirements
Operating System: iOS/iPadOS 15 or later, supporting on the following devices:
iPod touch 7th gen
iPhone 6s or newer
iPhone SE (1st Gen and later)
iPad Air 2 and later
iPad Mini 4 and later
iPad 5th Gen and later
iPad Pro 1st Gen and later
Ram: 1GB (2GB or higher recommended)
