As a guitarist, the tone of your instrument often helps to inspire and form the notes you play. The ‘Creative Ambience’ Kemper pack is designed to get the creative juices flowing by utilising the wide range of tones available from the Kemper. To create these profiles I profiled a 90s reissue blackface Fender Twin and then used the in-built Kemper effects to push the sonic boundaries. All the example parts were recorded with my 2008 Fender American Strat with an upgraded. Seymour Duncan ’59 Trembucker Pickup in the bridge.

Effects within each profile:

  • Three’s a crowd - 3 differing delays stacked to create a rhythmic wall of sound.

  • Gated Community - Gated reverb with Rotary Speaker modulation.

  • Modify - Stacked heavily modulated reverbs.

  • Reverse Psychology - 100% wet reverse delay with spacious spring reverb.

  • Shakedown - Tremolo with descending frequency delay.

  • Chorus of Angels - Chorus and stacked Crystal delays.

  • Touch Sensitivity - Touch-sensitive wah with Pitch-mod delay.

  • Take Me Higher - Ping-pong Octave delays and lush reverb.

  • Fuzzy Images - Fuzz with moving delays and spring reverb.

  • Panorama - Stacked reverbs with heavy stereo movement.

  • Duck and Cover - Ducked reverb

  • Springboard - Stacked spring reverbs with heavy dwell distortion.

  • Threeverb - Three stacked reverbs with an octave delay.

  • Flutter On By - Heavy tape flutter delay with panoramic action.

  • Wait in Line - 3 Cascading reverbs with increasing pre-delay time and stereo width.

  • Rotating Melody - Melodic delays with subtle Rotary Speaker modulation.

  • Sea Shore - Dirty tone with swell reverb creating an ocean-like sound.

  • Sweet 16 - 16th note tremolo with multiple 16th note delays.

  • Having a Swell Time - Multiple swelling reverbs and delays.

  • Robots in Space - Formant Wah with pitch delays
